Well Drilling

If you are in the market for a water well, a professional Parker Water Wells representative will be happy to come to your location and provide you with a free estimate for our services. In order to help you better understand the drilling process we have provided some information below. This will not only help you to better understand the process, but also highlight the importance of using a skilled and experienced company like Parker Water Wells.

A Brief Summary

In all processes of drilling, a steel or plastic well casing is typically used to line the upper area of the well, and the breadth of the drilled hole is generally wider than the casing diameter by one or two inches. To prevent contamination of the aquifer by polluted surface water that may drift between the casing and the drilled hole, which is known as the annulus, the annulus must be filled. The filling may consist of either cement or bentinite (special volcanic clay) depending local regulations, though on occasion fine rock pieces derived while drilling may be used followed by grouting the top 20 feet. Drilling a modern water well is a highly skilled trade requiring careful planning, knowledge, and experience.

Please feel free to call us and we will be happy to clearly explain what the entire drilling process entails and issue a quote.
